Floor Sweep

Floor Sweep, also known as floor sweepings, refers to mixed plastic scrap collected from manufacturing or processing areas during regular cleaning operations in plastic production facilities. It contains a blend of various polymer types, typically gathered after trimming, machining, pelletizing, or bagging activities. While not sorted by resin type, floor sweep material can be an economical raw source for certain recycling processes, especially where mixed plastics can be tolerated or further separated.

This material is most often used by recyclers who specialize in sorting and cleaning mixed streams, or in applications where polymer purity is not critical.
