PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-modified) Granules represent a pinnacle of polymer engineering. By introducing glycol during the polymerization process, the molecular structure of standard PET is altered, resulting in a material that is naturally clear, incredibly tough, and easy to process. In its granule form, this versatile thermoplastic provides manufacturers with a consistent, high-purity feedstock that delivers exceptional results across a wide range of fabrication methods, enabling the creation of products that are both visually stunning and built to last.

Our Quality Assurance and Shipping Process

Material Guarantee We assure you that the material will meet the specifications of the loading pictures and the sample provided prior to shipment. Customer satisfaction and transparency are our top priorities.

Our Step-by-Step Process

  1. Quality Inspection:
    • Before finalizing the shipment, our Quality Control (QC) team conducts a thorough inspection of the material to ensure it meets the agreed-upon standards.
    • Detailed videos and pictures of the material are captured during the inspection and shared with the customer for approval.
  2. Container Booking:
    • Once the customer approves the material, a container is booked on the next available vessel to ensure prompt delivery.
    • The booking details, including the shipping schedule, are shared with the customer for tracking purposes.
  3. Loading and Documentation:
    • The material is carefully loaded into the container.
    • During loading, we document the entire process with pictures and videos, capturing essential details such as:
      • Material condition
      • Loading procedure
      • Container and seal numbers
    • These visuals, along with the draft of the Bill of Lading (BL), are shared with the customer for verification.
  4. BL Draft Confirmation:
    • The customer reviews and confirms the BL draft.
    • Based on the confirmation, the Original Bill of Lading (OBL) is issued.
    • A copy of the OBL is then shared with the customer.

Key Features & Benefits:

  1. Exceptional Clarity and High Gloss:
PETG offers outstanding optical properties, rivaling the clarity of glass and other clear plastics. This makes it ideal for applications where product visibility is critical, creating a high-value, premium appearance.

  2. High Impact Strength and Durability:
Unlike standard PET, which can be brittle, PETG is renowned for its exceptional toughness and resistance to cracking and shattering. This superior impact strength ensures products can withstand rough handling and demanding environments.

  3. Excellent Chemical Resistance:
PETG exhibits high resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including oils, alcohols, and many common cleaning agents. This property is crucial for medical, cosmetic, and food packaging applications.

  4. Superior Processability:
PETG has a lower processing temperature and a wider molding window than PET, which minimizes degradation and makes it easier to process. It is suitable for injection molding, sheet extrusion, blow molding, and is a top choice for high-performance 3D printing due to its ease of use and low warpage.

  5. FDA Compliance & Food Safety:
Many grades of PETG comply with stringent FDA and EU regulations for direct and indirect food contact, making it a safe and reliable choice for food packaging, water bottles, and disposable utensils.

  6. Eco-Friendly Potential:
As a thermoplastic, PETG is fully recyclable. Its durability also contributes to sustainability by creating long-lasting products. Some grades may incorporate recycled content.

  7. Excellent Thermoforming Characteristics:
PETG extruded sheets exhibit deep-draw capabilities and low forming temperatures, making them the material of choice for creating complex shapes like blister packs, clamshells, and point-of-purchase displays without stress-whitening.

Processing Methods:

  • Injection Molding: For producing high-clarity, durable parts like medical components, cosmetic containers, and consumer goods.

  • Sheet Extrusion: To create clear sheets for thermoforming into blister packs, trays, and displays.

  • Profile Extrusion: For manufacturing tubes, rods, and other continuous shapes.

  • Blow Molding: For producing bottles and containers.

  • 3D Printing (FDM): A popular filament material due to its strength, ease of printing, and smooth finish.

Primary Applications:

  • Medical & Pharmaceutical: Surgical tool handles, blister packs, pharmacy containers, and fluid reservoirs due to its clarity, chemical resistance, and ability to be sterilized (via Gamma Radiation and ETO).

  • Food Packaging: Clear containers, drink cups, disposable cutlery, and water bottles.

  • Consumer & Retail: Blister packs, clamshells, cosmetic containers, and toy components.

  • Signage & Display: Point-of-purchase (POP) displays, face shields, and architectural partitions.

  • 3D Printing: Functional prototypes, mechanical parts, and artistic creations requiring durability and a fine finish.
