It is typically produced when switching between different grades, colors, or during machine start-up and shutdown. PE Purge consists of partially processed or solidified polyethylene in irregular shapes and sizes. Despite its form, it retains the core properties of polyethylene, making it a cost-effective and sustainable alternative for recycling and reprocessing.

Our Step-by-Step Process

  1. Quality Inspection:
    • Before finalizing the shipment, our Quality Control (QC) team conducts a thorough inspection of the material to ensure it meets the agreed-upon standards.
    • Detailed videos and pictures of the material are captured during the inspection and shared with the customer for approval.
  2. Container Booking:
    • Once the customer approves the material, a container is booked on the next available vessel to ensure prompt delivery.
    • The booking details, including the shipping schedule, are shared with the customer for tracking purposes.
  3. Loading and Documentation:
    • The material is carefully loaded into the container.
    • During loading, we document the entire process with pictures and videos, capturing essential details such as:
      • Material condition
      • Loading procedure
      • Container and seal numbers
    • These visuals, along with the draft of the Bill of Lading (BL), are shared with the customer for verification.
  4. BL Draft Confirmation:
    • The customer reviews and confirms the BL draft.
    • Based on the confirmation, the Original Bill of Lading (OBL) is issued.
    • A copy of the OBL is then shared with the customer.

 

Appearance:

  • Form: Irregular lumps, chunks, or solidified scrap

  • Color: Natural, white, black, or mixed colors depending on source

  • Texture: Dense and rigid, with smooth to rough surfaces

  • Quality: Generally free from major contaminants; minor traces of dust or other polymer residues may exist

Key Properties:

  • Density: 0.91–0.97 g/cm³ depending on PE type (LDPE or HDPE)

  • Thermal Properties: Suitable for reprocessing at standard PE processing temperatures (LDPE: 170–220°C, HDPE: 200–250°C)

  • Flexibility & Toughness: Maintains PE’s hallmark soft yet durable characteristics

  • Chemical Resistance: Stable against acids, alkalis, and many solvents

  • Moisture Resistance: Hydrophobic, providing excellent barrier properties
