HDPE Frac Melt refers to High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) material that has undergone partial degradation or uncontrolled melting during processing (such as extrusion, blow molding, or injection molding). This material is typically generated as a by-product when processing conditions (temperature, residence time, or machine purging) cause the polymer to over-melt, oxidize, or fuse into irregular lumps. Though it is not suitable for direct virgin-grade applications, HDPE Frac Melt is a valuable secondary raw material for recycling and reprocessing, offering cost savings and sustainability benefits.

Our Quality Assurance and Shipping Process
Material Guarantee We assure you that the material will meet the specifications of the loading pictures and the sample provided prior to shipment. Customer satisfaction and transparency are our top priorities.
Our Step-by-Step Process
- Quality Inspection:
- Before finalizing the shipment, our Quality Control (QC) team conducts a thorough inspection of the material to ensure it meets the agreed-upon standards.
- Detailed videos and pictures of the material are captured during the inspection and shared with the customer for approval.
- Container Booking:
- Once the customer approves the material, a container is booked on the next available vessel to ensure prompt delivery.
- The booking details, including the shipping schedule, are shared with the customer for tracking purposes.
-
Loading and Documentation:
- Material condition
- Loading procedure
- Container and seal numbers
- The material is carefully loaded into the container.
- During loading, we document the entire process with pictures and videos, capturing essential details such as:
- These visuals, along with the draft of the Bill of Lading (BL), are shared with the customer for verification.
- BL Draft Confirmation:
- The customer reviews and confirms the BL draft.
- Based on the confirmation, the Original Bill of Lading (OBL) is issued.
- A copy of the OBL is then shared with the customer.
Appearance:
-
Form: Irregular chunks, lumps, fused sheets, or solid blocks
-
Color: Natural, black, or mixed colors depending on source material
-
Texture: Dense and rigid with glossy to rough surfaces
-
Quality: May contain minor impurities or cross-linked polymer regions
Key Properties:
-
Density: ~0.94–0.97 g/cm³ (typical of HDPE)
-
Processing Temperature Range: ~190–230°C
-
High Stiffness & Strength – Core HDPE properties retained despite partial degradation
-
Moisture & Chemical Resistance – Resistant to most acids, alkalis, and solvents
-
Recyclability – Can be crushed, ground, and reprocessed into usable granules or compounded blends
-
Cost-Effective – Much cheaper than virgin HDPE for non-critical applications
Applications:
HDPE Frac Melt is primarily used as a feedstock for recycling and is well-suited for low-cost or non-critical applications. Typical uses include:
-
Reprocessing into Recycled HDPE Granules for molding and extrusion
-
Pipes & Profiles – Irrigation pipes, conduit covers, and non-pressure applications
-
Industrial Products – Pallets, crates, dustbins, drums, and other molded parts
-
Film & Sheet Applications – Trash bags, liners, construction sheets (low-grade use)
-
Compounding Material – Blended with virgin HDPE or additives to balance cost and performance
Advantages of HDPE Frac Melt:
-
Economical Feedstock – Offers significant cost savings over virgin HDPE
-
Eco-Friendly – Supports recycling and reduces polymer waste
-
Versatile Usage – Can be reprocessed into regrind, granules, or blends
-
Retains Core HDPE Benefits – Good strength, durability, and chemical resistance
