PC Lumps are recycled Polycarbonate (PC) materials in irregular, chunky form, typically sourced from post-industrial offcuts, rejected sheets, or defective molded parts. These lumps are collected, cleaned, and processed to remove contaminants while retaining the high impact strength, toughness, and thermal stability inherent to polycarbonate. PC Lumps serve as a cost-effective raw material for manufacturers in injection molding, extrusion, and compounding industries where mechanical performance and durability are critical.

Our Quality Assurance and Shipping Process

Material Guarantee We assure you that the material will meet the specifications of the loading pictures and the sample provided prior to shipment. Customer satisfaction and transparency are our top priorities.

Our Step-by-Step Process

  1. Quality Inspection:
    • Before finalizing the shipment, our Quality Control (QC) team conducts a thorough inspection of the material to ensure it meets the agreed-upon standards.
    • Detailed videos and pictures of the material are captured during the inspection and shared with the customer for approval.
  2. Container Booking:
    • Once the customer approves the material, a container is booked on the next available vessel to ensure prompt delivery.
    • The booking details, including the shipping schedule, are shared with the customer for tracking purposes.
  3. Loading and Documentation:
    • The material is carefully loaded into the container.
    • During loading, we document the entire process with pictures and videos, capturing essential details such as:
      • Material condition
      • Loading procedure
      • Container and seal numbers
    • These visuals, along with the draft of the Bill of Lading (BL), are shared with the customer for verification.
  4. BL Draft Confirmation:
    • The customer reviews and confirms the BL draft.
    • Based on the confirmation, the Original Bill of Lading (OBL) is issued.
    • A copy of the OBL is then shared with the customer.

Key Features & Properties:

  • Material: Polycarbonate (PC)

  • Form: Irregular lumps / chunks, clean and screened

  • Color: Typically natural/transparent, off-white, or mixed depending on source

  • Density: ~1.18 – 1.22 g/cm³

  • Melt Flow Index (MFI): ~3 – 12 g/10 min (varies by batch)

  • Mechanical Properties:

    • High impact resistance and toughness

    • Excellent tensile strength and rigidity

    • Good dimensional stability

  • Thermal Properties: Heat-resistant, suitable for processing temperatures up to 280°C

  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to diluted acids, alcohols, and oils (avoid strong alkalis and solvents)

  • Processing: Ideal for injection molding, extrusion, and blending with virgin PC

Applications:

PC Lumps are widely used in industries requiring durable and impact-resistant materials:

  • Injection molded components: Automotive parts, appliance housings, electronic enclosures

  • Extruded sheets & profiles: Protective panels, covers, and machine guards

  • Industrial & consumer products: Safety equipment, bins, and utility housings

  • Blending & compounding: Mixed with virgin PC or PC/ABS blends to reduce cost while maintaining mechanical properties

Advantages:

  • Cost-effective: Lower-cost alternative to virgin polycarbonate

  • Eco-friendly: Supports recycling of post-industrial PC materials

  • Durable & impact-resistant: Retains mechanical and thermal performance

  • Versatile: Compatible with multiple processing methods

  • Bulk supply: Ideal for large-scale industrial applications
